The Founder

Dr. Joseph Bahan, D.C.

Chiropractor and founder of Axial Wellness. For more than three decades, Dr. Bahan, D.C., has helped people better understand how the spine moves, adapts, and responds to the patterns of everyday life. Throughout his career, one lesson became clear: what happens between office visits often matters just as much as what happens during them.

Why He Built Axial Wellness

"Throughout my years in practice, I saw the same pattern over and over again. People wanted to take better care of their spine, but they didn't know what to do between visits. They needed something simple, practical, and realistic enough to become part of everyday life."

Axial Wellness was created to fill that space. It brings together the principles Dr. Bahan, D.C., has spent his career teaching into a personalized daily movement practice that people can follow at home. The goal isn't to replace professional care. It's to help make intentional movement part of everyday life.

Background

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) — A practicing chiropractor with more than three decades of experience helping people improve movement, posture, and spinal function through hands-on care and patient education.
  • Clinical Experience — Extensive experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including active adults, athletes, individuals recovering from injuries, and those whose work keeps them sitting for much of the day.
  • Education First — Throughout his career, Dr. Bahan, D.C., has believed that understanding why movement matters is just as important as the movement itself. Education has always been a central part of his approach to wellness.
  • Based in Arizona — Dr. Bahan, D.C., practices in Arizona, while Axial Wellness supports members wherever they are through its guided daily movement program.

The Philosophy Behind Axial Wellness

Three principles guide everything inside Axial Wellness.

  1. The body adapts to the movement it experiences most. The patterns you repeat every day gradually become the way your body prefers to move.
  2. Progress is built through frequency, not intensity. Consistent daily movement has a greater long-term influence than occasional bursts of effort.
  3. Awareness comes first. Before movement can change, you first have to notice how you're moving today.

These principles are introduced through the Seven Thoughts and continue to guide your daily movement practice over time.

What You'll Never Hear Him Promise

Dr. Bahan, D.C., won't promise that Axial Wellness diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any medical condition. He won't suggest replacing the care of your physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, or other licensed healthcare provider. And he won't claim that a daily movement practice is a substitute for professional healthcare.

What he does believe is that consistent, intentional movement belongs in everyday life. When appropriate and with your healthcare provider's approval, Axial Wellness is designed to complement—not replace—their diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and plan of care.
